The BE-PRO ,,football social network" project has gained great popularity not only in Slovakia over the last eight years. It helps many players find a new club, coaches to present new challenges and clubs to complete and improve their squad. Last but not least, it simplifies and speeds up communication.
At first glance, it may seem that BE-PRO replaces intermediaries and steals them their job. How does the player's agent see existence of the portal? Michal Kozák, who collaborates with several Slovak, Czech or Austrian players on the Slovak, Austrian and German markets, gave us an interview on this topic.
How did you find out about BE-PRO?
Michal Kozák: „I have known about the BE-PRO project in the football environment practically since its inception. I read about it on social networks and the internet, but at the same time my agent colleagues and the players themselves gave me information about it.“
Why did you sign up and how did it help you?
„I signed up in order to verify the positive reactions and also, of course, to develop my presence in the market in terms of gaining contacts with players, clubs, or other intermediaries suitable for cooperation. I must admit that BE-PRO has significantly expanded my portfolio of clients with whom I work. At the same time, it serves me as a form of personal advertising and presentation of my work.“
What features on the portal BE-PRO.com have for you as an agent, the greatest benefit?
„One of the biggest advantages of BE-PRO is the possibility to post various offers, for example for players or coaches. Based on these offers, conversations are developed with potential adepts or those who are interested in the offers. This is a huge added value, as it is possible to post offers, communicate and at the same time view statistics, videos or other indicators of adepts within one platform.“
Why is it important for a footballer or coach to have a profile created on BE-PRO and take care of it?
„For every user, for example for a player, coach or club representative who is looking for a new job through BE-PRO or the possibility of working in another club, even a foreign club, it is important to have the profile filled out as much as possible. This is due to the fact that the first selection among players takes place just after looking at the user's profile and the information obtained from it.“
What do you notice when you look at a potential client's profile?
„As an agent, I mainly monitor data of previous clubs in the profile of players, such as the names of clubs, the level of competition, which league they played, but also statistics, sorted by seasons. At the same time, in every contact with an unknown player, I consider a video presentation of his performances to be extremely important, on the basis of which everyone can create a real picture of the player.“
Can you tell us how many clients have you already gained thanks to BE-PRO?
„As the market for intermediaries and players is flexible, it is generally difficult to contract footballers for a long period of time. Nevertheless, thanks to BE-PRO I arranged several interesting transfers and tests. At the same time, I gained several dozen clients with whom I cooperated in transfers or in the field of transfer advice.“
As for the players, can you be more specific?
,,I managed to place two players into lower German competitions and several dozen players into various competitions in Austria."
Would you recommend BE-PRO to other player's agents?
„I see BE-PRO as a rapidly developing project that has found its place within the sports community. It serves as a suitable platform for footballers to look for new challenges in various parts of the world. At the same time, I consider it an interesting form of information exchange between players, coaches or intermediaries. So I can only recommend BE-PRO to everyone, because it provides a wide base of users about whom all the necessary information can be found in one place, and at the same time it is a very suitable means of communication.“
